WINDOWS
Printing from your personal laptop computer is available when using the Library’s Wireless Access Point. To enable this function and to configure your Windows personal laptop computer to use the Library’s LaserJet Printer you will first need to download and install Java software.

Next, install the printer driver by following the instructions below:

1) Using Internet Explorer go to http://csmdc/printers

2) Click on the link HP LaserJet5

3) Click Connect under Printer Actions on left side of screen

4) Click Yes to Add Printer Connection

5) The drivers will install automatically

6) When finished, HP LaserJet5 on csmdc can be selected as a printer

7) Your print jobs will be available for pick-up at the MCC Printer located at the north end of the Circulation Desk. Printing costs 15 cents per page. Remember to use the Print Preview function to limit the number of pages printed.

MACINTOSH

1. Open Printer Setup Utility (Applications Folder→Utilities Folder)

2. Click on Add Printer

3. In the Printer Browser window click on IP Printer.

4. Make the following settings:

Protocol:  HP Jet Direct - Socket

Address:  10.71.20.30

Queue:  Leave blank for default queue.

Name:  10.71.20.30

Location:  Leave blank.

Print Using:  HP LaserJet 5Si/5Si MX PostScript

5. Click on Add.
6. Quit Printer Setup Utility.
7. 10.71.20.30 is now available for printing.

   

8. Your print jobs will be available for pick-up at the REF Printer located at the north end of the Circulation Desk. Printing cost .15 cents per page. Remember to use the “Print Preview” function to limit the number of pages printed.
