LIBR 100: Introduction to Library Research
An introduction to library resources and research. Provides a practical, hands-on introduction to the library.
Topics covered include formulating and refining a research question, library organization, using reference materials,
searching the online catalog and databases, searching the Internet, evaluating Web sites, avoiding plagiarism, and citing sources. This course
satisfies the Basic Information Competence requirement at SF State. This class also satisfies the Information Competency requirement at CSM -
a graduation requirement for all CSM students starting in Fall 2010.
